This is the most amazing dessert….and very rich. It was a taste bud sensation as we took our first bite on a reserve in Botswana, Africa.
In a mixing bowl combine:
• 4 cups self rising flour
• 3 cups sugar
• 4 eggs
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 2 teaspoons bicarbonate soda
• 2 cans 250 ml. Fruit cocktail
Pour into a cake pan (in shape so desired)
Bake for 30 – 40 minutes @ 350 degrees
In another bowl, mix
• 2 tins carnation milk
• 6 teaspoons butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
Warm ingredients in microwave for 5 minutes
Pour over dessert while piping hot
