“Burrow Into My Goodness”

As I was asking the Lord what He wanted to say at the Well that evening, He said, “I want you to burrow into MY goodness”. I liked what He said but I needed clarification to broaden my understanding of what He meant.

As I did a word study I found that “burrow” means to hide oneself, as in a burrow; a place of retreat; shelter or refuge; to delve deeply.

The word “goodness” means the state or quality of being good; moral excellence; virtue; kindly feeling; kindness; generosity; and excellence; the best part of anything; essence and strength. The picture was becoming clearer to me as I studied the Bible and the dictionary.

That evening, after sharing this and reading the following verses, we proceeded to ‘burrow into His goodness” in worship.  His presence enveloped us as we made Him our shelter and refuge.

While we worshipped, an amazing healing took place. It was the first time one particular couple had visited The Well. The wife had been dealing with a crippling condition in her hip for a long time. At one point, the presence of the Lord overcame her so powerfully that she literally felt afraid. She said she knew it was the Lord but had never experienced anything like that before. By the end of the evening, she realized that the Lord had touched her and her hip was healed. All the pain was gone! Thank you, Jesus!

It doesn’t matter what your need is today, He wants to show His goodness to you. Burrow into Him. He is there for everyone who believes.  Meditate on it in your quiet times and allow Him to reveal His amazing love and kindness to you. As you read the following verses, place yourself inside His promises. HE LOVES YOU SO MUCH!!!

Psalm 31:19
Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear, revere, and worship You, goodness which You have wrought for those who trust and take refuge in You before the sons of men!

2 Samuel 22:3
My God, my Rock, in Him will I take refuge; my Shield and the Horn of my salvation; my Stronghold and my Refuge, my Savior–You save me from violence.

2 Samuel 22:31
As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried. He is a Shield to all those who trust and take refuge in Him.

Psalm 5:11
But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.

Psalm 5:11
But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.

Psalm 17:7
Show Your marvelous loving-kindness, O You Who save by Your right hand those who trust and take refuge in You from those who rise up against them.

Psalm 18:30
As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him.

Psalm 34:8
O taste and see that the Lord our God is good! Blessed – happy, fortunate, to be envied is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.

Psalm 36:7
How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge and put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.

Psalm 57:1 BE MERCIFUL and gracious to me, O God, be merciful and gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You; yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I take refuge and be confident until calamities and destructive storms are passed.
