Broccoli Raisin Salad

It’s always important to keep a good amount of antioxidant foods in our diet.  Here is a tasty way to make broccoli take center stage on your table.

Even my cat Emma likes the “green”. She is resting in my star fern plant on the deck.

I head of broccoli – cut into small bite size pieces

1/2 pound bacon – fried crisp then crumbled ( I use double smoked bacon or turkey bacon )

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup chopped green onions

1/2 cup raisins

=========================================

1 cup (real) Mayonnaise ( I use Dukes)

2 TBLSP apple cider vinegar

1/3 cup honey or brown sugar ( I use Stevia as a natural-
no calorie sweetner)

Whip above 3 ingredients together until smooth then pour over salad and toss.  Can be made up to one day ahead of time.

  1. Your cat is beautiful. I appreciated your advice on modesty when dressing to lead worship. As mothers we need to instill Christian values in our children. It is our charge to teach them “be not conformed to this world.” Thanks, Karen

      Many blessings to you!
