Love and Faithfulness – Song from Psalm 92

I WIll Bless THe Lord

One of the things I still enjoy is singing leads on recording sessions. Mark Baldwin just finished producing a project called I WILL BLESS THE LORD - A Journey of Prayer and Praise. I was honored when he  asked me to sing several of the songs. Mark is not only an amazing minstrel but he did an excellent job writing all the songs (along with King David), arranging, playing on and producing it. Additional players were Jason Webb on keys, Gary Lunn on bass and Ken Lewis on drums and … [Read more...]

Turkey Meatloaf – Low Carb

Turkey Meatloaf

From time to time, I cut back on carbs to drop a few pounds. One day, I decided to try making a meatloaf without the oatmeal or bread crumb fillers that spike up the carbohydrates. I was so pleased with how this recipe turned out, I wanted to share it. It takes about 5 minutes to assemble, is juicy and is a real "comfort" food. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Turkey Meatloaf - Low Carb By Leann Albrecht 1.5 pounds of ground turkey meat 1/2 cup dried onion flakes 1/4 … [Read more...]

DSC05826 - Version 2

THE WELL OF NASHVILLE Pastors Carl and Leann Albrecht September, 2007, Carl and I started holding meetings in our home for the sole purpose of making space for the Lord to meet with us. Since we were still travelling extensively at that time, we met sporadically when we were in town. Soon we moved to a friend's home as we outgrew our living room. Before long we moved to a store front near Opryland Northeast of Nashville and met there twice month for another 2 years. As of January, … [Read more...]

Spiced Butter Over Winter Squash

Spiced Butter

Winter Squash is a vegetable that is readily available this time of year in most grocery stores. I often like it roasted plainly with olive oil, however, it's nice to spice it up with this easy butter drizzle from time to time. One large winter squash - use any kind - acorn, butternut, etc. Slice into 1/2 inch slices and spoon out any seeds Lay flat on cookie sheet Brush top with olive oil to keep them from drying out as they bake. Bake at 375 degree for 20 -30 … [Read more...]

Mighty and Glorious

DSC00609

Mighty and Glorious is a worship song that I wanted to write about the beauty and splendor of God. I was honored to have Carl and David McKay help me pen this into a powerful anthem for the church. It will be one of the worship songs on my new CD.  Paul Wilbur has just recorded it on his new CD coming out this spring. I hope you enjoy it. Coconut Cream Meringue Pie

DSC05679

My friend, Kate and her husband Phil, came to visit over the holidays. One of the things Kate wanted was to learn how to make pies. So we made several...one was this Coconut Cream  Meringue pie (pictured to the left) and the other was a Chocolate Meringue pie.  Not only was it fun to make them but even more FUN to eat! Baking is a luxury that I don't typically afford myself throughout the year. However, since I was on a roll, I made 2  more Banana Cream pies just to satisfy a personal … [Read more...]

No Roll Pie Crust

No Roll PIe Crust

No Roll Pie Crust This is absolutely the most simple and flakiest crust I have ever made. It turns out perfect every time.  This recipe is from my friend, Rachel Goers...who has since gone home to be with the Lord.
